Three Reasons to Write and Publish an eBook With Win2Bid eBook Auctions

Publish and Distribute Your eBook Quick and Easy with the New eBook Auction Site, Win2BideBooks.com

If you’re looking for a place to publish your eBook manuscripts with little or no hassle, auction sites are often a great place to start. eBay was a great place to get easy, quick exposure, but they’ve now discontinued their eBay eBook auctions, and users are no longer allowed to email content. Amazon often wants you to go through a lot of hassle to make a little money.
A new online auction site for eBooks, Win2Bid eBooks, might help you publish and release your eBooks. The site is easy to use, quick to publish to, and easy to navigate. Get in now, and the site offers free no fee auctions with listings that last for months. You can list your eBooks, and offer them up for auctions that last two to three months.
One way that this eBook auction site might be able to help you with your eBook publishing and distribution is to simply to allow your eBook more hits and exposure via search engines. The more sites that you publish your eBook on, the more web pages the eBook will have. The more pages, the more exposure. If your eBook has a website, more exposure is one of the single things that differentiates your eBook from a million other eBook websites.
StoresOnline.com, or People CAN Change

StoresOnline.com did invite me to a wonderful, inspirational conference where they gave a pretty convincing lecture on their website product. The lecture lasted about three hours and involved a free meal. They charge thousands of dollars to build websites, which can be reasonable. The company does offer a legitimate work from home idea with lessons on how to market the legitimate work from home idea.
Pros:
- Lessons and information including videos on how to build the website, manage the products, page and design management, eCommerce administration, CRM, and a vast knowledge base.
- Programmers will build your site for you.
- Extensive site builder with many eCommerce specific tutorials and design elements.
Cons:
- This company has an F by the BBB rating.
- The company’s customer service department is only open on the weekends.
- This company has been sued for 7.6 million dollars.
The company has changed a lot since their lawsuit, and I do believe that the BBB rating probably mostly reflect the lawsuit. Maybe this company has made some positive changes? I did sign up for the $99.99 free trial (my guest and I split the cost). I do not intend to purchase the website or the $3000 custom build option that I am slated to attend another meeting for because I am capable of designing my own website. The trial does have a lot of information that I do think is very useful, and I intend to apply it to my new website. I would not recommend spending or purchasing over the $29.99 monthly charge. With the $29.99 offer, you would receive their PRO version for $29.99 a month instead of $300.00 a month. GoDaddy charges $50 a month for about the same service. This charge and the benefits that come with it are not a bad deal overall. It actually beats out what Go Daddy charges, but you have to take a chance on a kid with a bad reputation. I believe that people CAN change. The $3000 charge may not be a bad deal, either, but unless your idea for a web store is tested, tried, and proven to make money, you might not want to invest that much money into it. Making money online via a website is not as easy as their sales representatives would have you believe. Or maybe it is?
Please comment below if your online store makes a lot of money along with how much time and effort it took. Did you get rich overnight? How much did you have to invest? Are you an Computer Science major?

Want to create customized email using Microsoft Outlook and Windows Vista? Searched all morning to find out how? Here are the directions:

DataGraphicsInc.com – Get Your Warning Label Here

If you need labels for your products, you might want to check out sites like Data Graphics Inc, which offer Custom Labels. The site is a supplier of custom labels to industrial, commercial and military manufacturing industries. They do not make labels for clothing or garments or the general labels that you would find in office supply stores, but they do make labels for cell phones, UID and barcodes, overlays, die cuts, and name plates that you work from home company might need.
Of interest is the product identification labels. Has your work from home company overgrown your home? Need an inventory system? Sell all of your products on eBay? You might want to check out DataGraphicsInc.com for some ideas on organizing your merchandise and to see how big industries and commercial and military manufacturing industries label their products. You can call them at 800.639.4316 to request a quote for labels for things like warnings for potential hazards when handling equipment and instructional labels that tell people how to handle equipment that could save you tons of money in the long run. Using a custom label to warn your staff of danger is something that should be purchased for work from home construction companies or electrical engineering start ups.
I was invited by DataGraphicsInc. to peruse their website. The items look very useful, especially for work from homers that have expanded their businesses to include manufactured items or items that may be dangerous to handle and need custom labels.
Arise – Apply to be a Virtual Assistant

While attending an on campus college course, my friend CeCe told me about Arise.com. Here you can apply to work from home. You can work from home doing things like answering the phones, email, and other administrative tasks. So, I went to check the site out, and here’s what I found (all of this information can be found and is quoted from www.arise.com):
- Arise offers year-round opportunities to provide contact services to the best selection of well-known, trusted brands – giving you the freedom you crave and the income results you need.
- As an Arise Certified Professional, you choose which clients to serve, when you work and how many hours each week to work.
- The entire Admissions/Certification/Contracting process should take only a few days.
- You are employed by your own business entity and not arise.
So, I began the application process. During the application process, you must complete a profile with all of your personal information, sign a Master Services Agreement, and then go on to the “Ideal Match Assessment” portion. The fourth step is a background Check. The personality test is 100 questions long! The voice training portion of the application process is awesome with a virtual trainer with a virtual office, and the computer training is top notch.
In Detail:
* System Check - Your system will be checked for proper components, allowing you to complete the assessment and hear the call simulations.
* Q & A - This is a series of questions about your attitude and your approach to tasks.
* Simulated Calls - You will listen to instructions and training on how to handle these simulated calls, plus a practice simulation. Finally you will be asked to handle 3 simulated calls by selecting responses and actions.
* Voice Assessment - You will be presented with a page of instructions on how to call and record your voice. You will state your name, and your ACPID, then you will read the script on the instructions page. You will receive results within 2-3 business days.
So, now I am awaiting my results that should arrive within 2-3 business days. Keep ya posted!!
Great Father’s Day Work Apparel Gifts for Work From Home Dads

Wondering What to get your Work From Home Dad for Father’s Day?
Good quality men’s workwear for men who own their own auto repair business, home gardeners, and people who work construction from home. Carhartt workwear is generally the best option. Carhartt crafts some of the highest quality clothing for workers. My dad’s Carhartt coat has lasted forever. He can work on cars in it, paint in it, and lie on the ground for hours if he would like. The jacket never wears. In the South, men sing the praises of Carhartt jackets, pants and gloves as one of the best brands available.
Men’s work apparel makes the perfect Father’s Day gift for the work from home guy on your list, and Father’s Day is just around the corner. Men love to receive things like work gloves, work uniforms, Carhartt clothing, coats, etc. This type of clothing is all about function, safety, etc., and your dad will love it. Thermal underwear, Timberlands, Chippewas, hooded sweatshirts, and military style clothing also make great gifts for dad this Father’s Day.
Rugged menswear is a unique idea that your Work From Home Dad can treasure for years to come. When he reaches in his closet and pulls out his Carhartt overalls, he will lovingly think of you… Why not buy something that he’ll use?
How to Survive The Work From Home Boredoms
Working from home is often not as nice as it sounds on television. It is often filled with 8 to 10 hours of computer work, phone work, or writing in which no one is around to communicate with. Working from home can be as demanding and boring as any old day job out there, and is often more so with little interaction from the outside world save the computer screen. This is how I overcome the work from home boredom streaks that accompany working from home online:
Naps – 10 to 25 minute naps can be utilized during extreme periods of boredom. Nap as often as you like as long as it keeps you going. Make sure you’re clocked out!
Starbucks – buy the espresso and make coffee with it. Works like a charm. You can complete endless hours of snore worthy work from home tasks just by adding Hershey’s dark chocolate and some cream.

Cats – Get yourself a cat or small, quiet dog to help stave off the boredom. I recommend the local animal shelter. Get one at least three years old so that no potty training is necessary.
Play lots of loud rap music. Some folks prefer classical, but rap usually keeps me going. If you work on the phone all day, you may want to refer to the funny cat pictures here: Lolcats and funny pictures for endless hours of entertainment.

Just to highlight some new sites that I have come across in my reading and writing and seeking new ways to make money online:
RedGage.com does something to your content where you should make some money. Who cares about the money? It’s a great way to increase your exposure and link to your content. If, and I do mean if, you can import your blogs and other items here, you could gain some exposure. I am definitely having some trouble importing all three of my blogs, and I can only seem to get my Facebook account to attach to RedGage’s services. I am sure that it does work because so many others have used it, but I am not sure how! Ha! Don’t be too afraid that your website will fail. RedGage’s doesn’t work 100% either.
Stumblehere.com promises to:

So, I am attempting to add all of my blogs….
You can post a maximum number of 5 adds…
I always give sites like this my trash email. They’ll spam you. ZDNET sends me upwards of three emails per day sometimes. Okay, maybe not that much, but close. You can even post video ads for a price. It also costs money to make the ad available nationwide, and this is a site similar to Craigslist. I get through most of it, and I think that my ad is posted, but they want $1.99 for linking to my website. Through some browser backups and coughs I tried to undo the charge. Ha! I searched for it, and it is posted here:

I am learning to market for my new website whenever I get it finished – Which may be never.

Online Classes for Home Based Business Opportunity: Filing Taxes

Ever thought that you would like to file taxes from home for other people maybe for extra cash or something. Need to file your own taxes like I do?
Jackson Hewitt offers an inexpensive tax class online. Click here for an online demo! All you need is a computer, a calculator and an Internet connection. You can prepare taxes for others for extra money, and you may also be able to acquire college credit if you attend the University of Phoenix Online. In any case, it is a nice addition to any resume, and is perfect for an online student pursuing degrees in accounting or business. Jackson Hewitt requires these classes of their seasonal tax prepares. If you’re looking for additional, part-time (or full-time if you prefer) / seasonal income to supplement any home based business you may be operating in the post-Christmas shopping season, preparing taxes for others may be a great idea. The season lasts from somewhere around the end of January to about April 15th.
H&R Block also offers a tax class online that you might want to look into. I have always filed taxes with Jackson Hewitt and do not feel qualified to give a personal recommendation for their services or online tax classes.
A Journey Into Entrepreneurship

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. My grandfather owned a store and a septic tank business. My stepfather owned his own construction business, and my father owned his own small engine repair shop. My grandmother cleaned houses for others, and I started my own short-lived business at 17.
The point of this paper is to share a great paper on entrepreneurship that you can download and read for free!

My work from home journey is a detailed summary of the true experiences of a work from home blogger. Tips, videos, and instructions on how to make money can be found here. Please enjoy them for free!
Making money online has been a slow process for me. Most of my successes have not come from MLM and/or get rich quick programs. Others seem to have made millions that way, but this blog is just an honest small money making blog.
I have included this sponsor disclosure for the money I plan to make in future. No sponsored posts have been accepted for this blog as of 12/07/2009, but I do occasionally accept sponsored posts on one of my blogs and I plan to post sponsored posts in the future.

Paid Product Reviews and FTC Guidelines
Paid product reviews information via FTC Guidelines can be found at the FTC website. A short summary of the guidelines goes something like this:
If someone sends you a free product or pays you to review a product, you must disclose that relationship. The lines aren’t very clear. For example, you can disclose from your About Me page if you would like. I wonder what kind of effect the new guidelines will have on sites that operate as paid review sites for many different products and companies. What do you think of the new guidelines?
Here is an official review of the FTC Guidelines:
“FTC Publishes Final Guides Governing Endorsements, Testimonials
Changes Affect Testimonial Advertisements, Bloggers, Celebrity Endorsements
The Federal Trade Commission today announced that it has approved final revisions to the guidance it gives to advertisers on how to keep their endorsement and testimonial ads in line with the FTC Act.
The notice incorporates several changes to the FTC’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, which address endorsements by consumers, experts, organizations, and celebrities, as well as the disclosure of important connections between advertisers and endorsers. The Guides were last updated in 1980.
Under the revised Guides, advertisements that feature a consumer and convey his or her experience with a product or service as typical when that is not the case will be required to clearly disclose the results that consumers can generally expect. In contrast to the 1980 version of the Guides – which allowed advertisers to describe unusual results in a testimonial as long as they included a disclaimer such as “results not typical” – the revised Guides no longer contain this safe harbor.
The revised Guides also add new examples to illustrate the long standing principle that “material connections” (sometimes payments or free products) between advertisers and endorsers – connections that consumers would not expect – must be disclosed. These examples address what constitutes an endorsement when the message is conveyed by bloggers or other “word-of-mouth” marketers. The revised Guides specify that while decisions will be reached on a case-by-case basis, the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service. Likewise, if a company refers in an advertisement to the findings of a research organization that conducted research sponsored by the company, the advertisement must disclose the connection between the advertiser and the research organization. And a paid endorsement – like any other advertisement – is deceptive if it makes false or misleading claims.
Celebrity endorsers also are addressed in the revised Guides. While the 1980 Guides did not explicitly state that endorsers as well as advertisers could be liable under the FTC Act for statements they make in an endorsement, the revised Guides reflect Commission case law and clearly state that both advertisers and endorsers may be liable for false or unsubstantiated claims made in an endorsement – or for failure to disclose material connections between the advertiser and endorsers. The revised Guides also make it clear that celebrities have a duty to disclose their relationships with advertisers when making endorsements outside the context of traditional ads, such as on talk shows or in social media.
The Guides are administrative interpretations of the law intended to help advertisers comply with the Federal Trade Commission Act; they are not binding law themselves. In any law enforcement action challenging the allegedly deceptive use of testimonials or endorsements, the Commission would have the burden of proving that the challenged conduct violates the FTC Act.
The Commission vote approving issuance of the Federal Register notice detailing the changes was 4-0. The notice will be published in the Federal Register shortly, and is available now on the FTC’s Web site as a link to this press release. Copies also are available from the FTC’s Consumer Response Center, Room 130, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20580.
The Federal Trade Commission works for consumers to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices and to provide information to help spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a complaint in English or Spanish, visit the FTC’s online Complaint Assistant or call 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357). The FTC enters complaints into Consumer Sentinel, a secure, online database available to more than 1,700 civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad. The FTC’s Web site provides free information on a variety of consumer topics.”

Fuel My Blog – A Winning Blog Site
Fuel my blog is a new site that I discovered while stumbling around the world wide web. Not only can you register your blog for review and increase your blog readership, you may also sign up for product testing.
Product testing involves receiving free products at home that you review and then posting a review for the product on your blog. You sign up for this while registering your blog. It really is a nice opportunity for poor bloggers everywhere who just don’t have the time to worry about page rank. At least you get some nice bonuses. I recommend writing real reviews that honestly reflect your opinions. In my opinion, bad publicity can even be better than good publicity in some cases.
In any case, it is another place to register your blogs for readership. I hope you enjoy the blog group and gets lots of free stuff in the meantime.
How to Make a Video Commercial For Your Online Product

The Complete Online Coupon E-book
Making a video for your online product is easy! Software usually comes pre-installed if you have Windows Vista. I used Windows Movie Maker and a couple of images edited with Gimp to create my cheesy commercial for my online coupon e-book, which is happily selling around 2 copies a week! My little tiny coupon e-book sales are making me so happy.
I had to make this commercial for my Digital Media course, but it is definitely a great marketing tool. Added to the fact that you’ve created a video, you now have the opportunity to post it to YouTube, which should get you at least 4 views!
Windows Movie Maker is so easy to operate that it is almost self explanatory, and background commercial music can be downloaded for free at http://freeplaymusic.com/ among other sites. Just Google free background music or something like that. This really is not as complicated as I thought from watching similar videos on YouTube. I encourage you to experiment with the software and try making your own videos.
Also, Gimp is a great image editing software that is open source and totally free. It can be downloaded at http://files.uberdownloads.com/apps/gimp/index.php. It is a great tool for bloggers and such to use. Create your own photos with frames and special effects using Gimp. Have fun creating your commercial.
For more information on how to use Windows Movie Maker, you can view this article: http://www.ehow.com/how_2103588_use-windows-movie-maker.html

Hmmm... Interesting to see what others write, but definitely has the ability to be abused by spammers and the like, but abuse by terrorist unlikely.
And Google not only keeps copies of my email, but now knows the sites I visit. Oh well...
Websites – Now Hiring

Another great source of online employment is websites themselves. My temporary full-time employment outside my home has ended, and I am back working online part-time for a website that I do not care to disclose here – you might be competition. Although I did want to disclose a number of online sites that do offer employment as well.
1. Google – Yes, I said Google. Google is a huge online employer. While all positions might not be from home, you may be able to find a position that is from home. WorkforceLogic is recruiting part-time telecommuters with fluency in Spanish to help with Quality Evaluation for websites for Google Inc., the search engine company based in Mountain View, California. You can find more opportunities by searching Google jobs at Google Jobs.
2. StumbleUpon is now hiring. The Community Manager position looks as if it is a work from home position, but does not specify. There are other open positions as well.
3. GoDaddy is hiring. Most positions are listed at a physical location, but some positions do list flexible as well as the physical location, and who knows, you may find one near you.
4. The Examiner.com is also hiring writer and freelancers for telecommuting positions. The work would be the most fun ever! The Examiner publishes some of the best work on the planet!
5. TheSearchGuru.com is hiring Pay Per Click Specialists through LinkedIn. The pay isn’t fantastic, but the qualifications seem simple to meet for most website gurus.
6. EssayEdge.com is hiring both Freelance Application Essay Editors and Freelance Resume Writers for telecommuter positions. Peterson’s is world famous for their education related products and this would be a great, reliable, real work from home position, granted you were hired.
“ResumeEdge freelance writers work from their own computers and offices from anywhere in the world via the Internet.” – www.essayedge.com/jobs
7. MyYearBook.com is hiring a PHP developer through Careerbuilder.com. The position is also telecommuter.
8. Skype.com has tons of vacancies. There are so many listings here that I can’t seem to find out which ones are work from home. No guarantees… Search for yourselves.
The point is, if you like a website out there, look to see if they are hiring. You may land a position with your favorite website!
