StoresOnline.com, or People CAN Change

storesonline

StoresOnline.com did invite me to a wonderful, inspirational conference where they gave a pretty convincing lecture on their website product. The lecture lasted about three hours and involved a free meal. They charge thousands of dollars to build websites, which can be reasonable. The company does offer a legitimate work from home idea with lessons on how to market the legitimate work from home idea.

Pros:

  • Lessons and information including videos on how to build the website, manage the products, page and design management, eCommerce administration, CRM, and a vast knowledge base.
  • Programmers will build your site for you.
  • Extensive site builder with many eCommerce specific tutorials and design elements.

Cons:

  • This company has an F by the BBB rating.
  • The company’s customer service department is only open on the weekends.
  • This company has been sued for 7.6 million dollars

The company has changed a lot since their lawsuit, and I do believe that the BBB rating probably mostly reflect the lawsuit. Maybe this company has made some positive changes? I did sign up for the $99.99 free trial (my guest and I split the cost). I do not intend to purchase the website or the $3000 custom build option that I am slated to attend another meeting for because I am capable of designing my own website. The trial does have a lot of information that I do think is very useful, and I intend to apply it to my new website. I would not recommend spending or purchasing over the $29.99 monthly charge. With the $29.99 offer, you would receive their PRO version for $29.99 a month instead of $300.00 a month. GoDaddy charges $50 a month for about the same service. This charge and the benefits that come with it are not a bad deal overall. It actually beats out what Go Daddy charges, but you have to take a chance on a kid with a bad reputation. I believe that people CAN change. The $3000 charge may not be a bad deal, either, but unless your idea for a web store is tested, tried, and proven to make money, you might not want to invest that much money into it. Making money online via a website is not as easy as their sales representatives would have you believe. Or maybe it is?

Please comment below if your online store makes a lot of money along with how much time and effort it took. Did you get rich overnight? How much did you have to invest? Are you an Computer Science major?

DataGraphicsInc.com – Get Your Warning Label Here

label

If you need labels for your products, you might want to check out sites like Data Graphics Inc, which offer Custom Labels. The site is a supplier of custom labels to industrial, commercial and military manufacturing industries. They  do not make labels for clothing or garments or the general labels that you would find in office supply stores, but they do make labels for cell phones, UID and barcodes, overlays, die cuts, and name plates that you work from home company might need.

Of interest is the product identification labels. Has your work from home company overgrown your home? Need an inventory system? Sell all of your products on eBay? You might want to check out DataGraphicsInc.com for some ideas on organizing your merchandise and to see how big industries and commercial and military manufacturing industries label their products. You can call them at 800.639.4316 to request a quote for labels for things like warnings for potential hazards when handling equipment and instructional labels that tell people how to handle equipment that could save you tons of money in the long run. Using a custom label to warn your staff of danger is something that should be purchased for work from home construction companies or electrical engineering start ups.

I was invited by DataGraphicsInc. to peruse their website. The items look very useful, especially for work from homers that have expanded their businesses to include manufactured items or items that may be dangerous to handle and need custom labels.

Arise – Apply to be a Virtual Assistant

Author esantra Category

ariseWhile attending an on campus college course, my friend CeCe told me about Arise.com. Here you can apply to work from home. You can work from home doing things like answering the phones, email, and other administrative tasks. So, I went to check the site out, and here’s what I found (all of this information can be found and is quoted from www.arise.com):

  • Arise offers year-round opportunities to provide contact services to the best selection of well-known, trusted brands – giving you the freedom you crave and the income results you need.
  • As an Arise Certified Professional, you choose which clients to serve, when you work and how many hours each week to work.
  • The entire Admissions/Certification/Contracting process should take only a few days.
  • You are employed by your own business entity and not arise.

So, I began the application process. During the application process, you must complete a profile with all of your personal information, sign a Master Services Agreement, and then go on to the “Ideal Match Assessment” portion. The fourth step is a background Check. The personality test is 100 questions long! The voice training portion of the application process is awesome with a virtual trainer with a virtual office, and the computer training is top notch.

In Detail:
* System Check - Your system will be checked for proper components, allowing you to complete the assessment and hear the call simulations.
* Q & A - This is a series of questions about your attitude and your approach to tasks.
* Simulated Calls - You will listen to instructions and training on how to handle these simulated calls, plus a practice simulation. Finally you will be asked to handle 3 simulated calls by selecting responses and actions.
* Voice Assessment - You will be presented with a page of instructions on how to call and record your voice. You will state your name, and your ACPID, then you will read the script on the instructions page. You will receive results within 2-3 business days.

So, now I am awaiting my results that should arrive within 2-3 business days. Keep ya posted!!

Good quality men’s workwear for men who own their own auto repair business, home gardeners, and people who work construction from home. Carhartt workwear is generally the best option. Carhartt crafts some of the highest quality clothing for workers. My dad’s Carhartt coat has lasted forever. He can work on cars in it, paint in it, and lie on the ground for hours if he would like. How to Survive The Work From Home Boredoms

Author esantra Category , , ,

Working from home is often not as nice as it sounds on television. It is often filled with 8 to 10 hours of computer work, phone work, or writing in which no one is around to communicate with. Working from home can be as demanding and boring as any old day job out there, and is often more so with little interaction from the outside world save the computer screen. This is how I overcome the work from home boredom streaks that accompany working from home online:

nap

Naps – 10 to 25 minute naps can be utilized during extreme periods of boredom. Nap as often as you like as long as it keeps you going. Make sure you’re clocked out!

coffee

Starbucks – buy the espresso and make coffee with it. Works like a charm. You can complete endless hours of snore worthy work from home tasks just by adding Hershey’s dark chocolate and some cream.

Cats – Get yourself a cat or small, quiet dog to help stave off the boredom. I recommend the local animal shelter. Get one at least three years old so that no potty training is necessary.

rap

Play lots of loud rap music. Some folks prefer classical, but rap usually keeps me going. If you work on the phone all day, you may want to refer to the funny cat pictures here: Lolcats and funny pictures for endless hours of entertainment.

TONS OF VIDEOS ON SEO AND SOCIAL MEDIA AND TYING THE TWO TOGETHER! WATCH THE WHOLE SERIES:

Just to highlight some new sites that I have come across in my reading and writing and seeking new ways to make money online:

RedGage.com does something to your content where you should make some money. Who cares about the money? It’s a great way to increase your exposure and link to your content. If, and I do mean if, you can import your blogs and other items here, you could gain some exposure. I am definitely having some trouble importing all three of my blogs, and I can only seem to get my Facebook account to attach to RedGage’s services. I am sure that it does work because so many others have used it, but I am not sure how! Ha! Don’t be too afraid that your website will fail. RedGage’s doesn’t work 100% either.

Stumblehere.com promises to:

“Gain Exposure With Classified Ad Syndication, SEO, Search Engine Placement!

· Use Video Ads to show off your product or service.

· Receive SMS reply alerts to your cell phone.

· Build your own online store based on your classified ads.

· Help Us Grow, optionally Make Money from our Affiliate Program”

So, I am attempting to add all of my blogs….

You can post a maximum number of 5 adds…

I always give sites like this my trash email. They’ll spam you. ZDNET sends me upwards of three emails per day sometimes. Okay, maybe not that much, but close. You can even post video ads for a price. It also costs money to make the ad available nationwide, and this is a site similar to Craigslist. I get through most of it, and I think that my ad is posted, but they want $1.99 for linking to my website. Through some browser backups and coughs I tried to undo the charge. Ha! I searched for it, and it is posted here:

I am learning to market for my new website whenever I get it finished – Which may be never.
