AceProject is a website that I like to do a post on from time to time. It is an invaluable VA tool that is free for someone just beginning to get legs in the field. The site offers free project management, time tracking, collaboration, HR management, expense tracking, reporting, and several other tools for free. The best thing about this site is that it is generally dependable and has a long-standing reputation for providing quality free services. I have been dependent on this site for years. It has remained free with no bait-and-switch up-sell. It is a really nice service for me because my business is small and paying for software like this could potentially cost my business a sizable amount in revenue. I hope to pay back at least a portion of usage through posting free online internet links regarding this site. If you come across this article, and intend to purchase their services, the services are very dependable. The site stays up-to-date, and I think that it is even more professional-looking and has more features than the time-tracking software that my professional corporation utilizes at the present time.esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-10139131091522649832011-08-06T18:21:00.001-07:002011-08-06T18:21:50.912-07:00Trying out the Pretty Little Liars makeup look myself
Guest post written by Penny Call

One of the things that I really love about the show Pretty Little Liars is that it's so unrealistic. It's so unrealistic that it's funny! I mean, no one would actually be intrigued or glad to hear about a group of teenage girls getting cyber bullied and harassed by some mysterious person that probably killed their best friend. But it makes for a really great plot for a TV show and apparently a book series too.

Also, what teenage girl could actually pull looks together like they do? Certainly not me when I was their age, but it's a look that I would like to achieve myself. So I went online to see if I could find a guide on how to do my makeup like theirs. While I was looking, I saw the site CLEARWirelessinternet4g.com and after I looked through it some, I decided to change over my apartment's internet access to it.

I was surprised by how many guides there were online to get the Pretty Little Liars makeup look! Not sure if Google's new policies regarding original content and page rank have anything to do with it, but I finally have a Google Page Rank! Awesome. Not bragging or anything, but I got so excited this morning to see my little number 1! Google Page Rank can really open lines of revenue for you as far as sponsored posts and advertisers are concerned.
For those of you who do not know what Google Page Rank is:
I think it is so sad about the Demand Media takeover and now the closing of the eHow Writer’s Compensation Program (WCP). If you are anything like me, eHow was one of the ways that you began making money online. It seems sad to me that a site that had its roots in revenue sharing has now closed that program and essentially shut off the faucet to the writers that helped to make them who they are in the first place. At the same time I am grateful to the company that showed me a great deal about how internet marketing works. I suppose no line of online revenue really lasts forever, but I had gotten used to the income stream...

Demand Media has taken over. You can still make money with them, but the requirements are much more demanding. Most of the original articles are being removed, and new ones are subject to editing and rejection that mean a huge decrease in writer profits because the articles take so much longer to complete. Please comment if you have had positive experiences with Demand Media, or if you like the change.
We just use so much energy in both of those rooms, so we thought that would make a huge green difference in our home.

Right now we're working on finding some easy changes to make in our game room. While I was online the other day trying to get some ideas for that, I happened across some energy rates information in New York and read through it. After we looked through it together as a family, we decided to switch over our energy plan as a green step in the right direction. That will help not only in our game room and kitchen, but all over our home!

One of my favorite game room ideas was to switch out some of our gaming equipment with some that's made out of recycled materials. We found a really good dartboard that was made out of recycled cork. It's also just really cool and modern looking too.
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-6655330858299883562011-05-01T03:58:00.001-07:002011-05-01T03:58:10.052-07:00Free Creative Online Paint Tool
Always one for a freebie, and always needing to manipulate images for some assignment…A unique and absolutely free image editing and creation online software struck me this morning as fun, playful, and a great way to create custom images online for free. Wrong! People are always looking for other people’s junk. Here are some ideas that you might not have thought of before today:

Old Keyboard Keys – the keyboard does not have to work, and probably shouldn’t. People will pay you good money for the keys. This is a great sales technique if you have spilled cream soda in your laptop and can no longer use it.

Old clothing – some people will pay top dollar for your used clothing and shoes, especially designer brands and brands like Polo, Old Navy, etc.

Other junked electronics – people will pay you for things they can repair

Working car parts – especially good idea if your car isn’t running at the moment.

Never opened perfume, lotion. or unexpired makeup

Try anything once – the fees are low.

eBay keyboard key listings:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280668133065#ht_483wt_1158

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280668129589&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_500wt_1156
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-55935528856479315032011-03-25T21:48:00.000-07:002011-03-25T21:48:07.759-07:00Homemade Ranch Dressing

If you’re looking for a place to publish your eBook manuscripts with little or no hassle, auction sites are often a great place to start. eBay was a great place to get easy, quick exposure, but they’ve now discontinued their eBay eBook auctions, and users are no longer allowed to email content. Amazon often wants you to go through a lot of hassle to make a little money.
A new online auction site for eBooks, Win2Bid eBooks, might help you publish and release your eBooks. The site is easy to use, quick to publish to, and easy to navigate. Get in now, and the site offers free no fee auctions with listings that last for months. You can list your eBooks, and offer them up for auctions that last two to three months.
One way that this eBook auction site might be able to help you with your eBook publishing and distribution is to simply to allow your eBook more hits and exposure via search engines. The more sites that you publish your eBook on, the more web pages the eBook will have. The more pages, the more exposure. If your eBook has a website, more exposure is one of the single things that differentiates your eBook from a million other eBook websites.
The lecture lasted about three hours and involved a free meal. They charge thousands of dollars to build websites, which can be reasonable. The company does offer a legitimate work from home idea with lessons on how to market the legitimate work from home idea.

Pros:

Lessons and information including videos on how to build the website, manage the products, page and design management, eCommerce administration, CRM, and a vast knowledge base.

Programmers will build your site for you.

Extensive site builder with many eCommerce specific tutorials and design elements.

Cons:

This company has an F by the BBB rating.

The company’s customer service department is only open on the weekends.

This company has been sued for 7.6 million dollars.

The company has changed a lot since their lawsuit, and I do believe that the BBB rating probably mostly reflect the lawsuit. Maybe this company has made some positive changes? I did sign up for the $99.99 free trial (my guest and I split the cost). I do not intend to purchase the website or the $3000 custom build option that I am slated to attend another meeting for because I am capable of designing my own website. The trial does have a lot of information that I do think is very useful, and I intend to apply it to my new website. I would not recommend spending or purchasing over the $29.99 monthly charge. With the $29.99 offer, you would receive their PRO version for $29.99 a month instead of $300.00 a month. GoDaddy charges $50 a month for about the same service. This charge and the benefits that come with it are not a bad deal overall. It actually beats out what Go Daddy charges, but you have to take a chance on a kid with a bad reputation. I believe that people CAN change. The $3000 charge may not be a bad deal, either, but unless your idea for a web store is tested, tried, and proven to make money, you might not want to invest that much money into it. Making money online via a website is not as easy as their sales representatives would have you believe. Or maybe it is?

Please comment below if your online store makes a lot of money along with how much time and effort it took. Did you get rich overnight? How much did you have to invest? Are you an Computer Science major?
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-91152893873835215062010-09-23T06:22:00.001-07:002010-09-23T06:22:12.618-07:00Creating Customized Email Stationery - How to Find Your Stationery Files for Microsoft Outlook and Windows Vista Combinations

Want to create customized email using Microsoft Outlook and Windows Vista? The site is a supplier of custom labels to industrial, commercial and military manufacturing industries. They do not make labels for clothing or garments or the general labels that you would find in office supply stores, but they do make labels for cell phones, UID and barcodes, overlays, die cuts, and name plates that you work from home company might need.

Of interest is the product identification labels. Has your work from home company overgrown your home? Need an inventory system? Sell all of your products on eBay? You might want to check out DataGraphicsInc.com for some ideas on organizing your merchandise and to see how big industries and commercial and military manufacturing industries label their products. You can call them at 800.639.4316 to request a quote for labels for things like warnings for potential hazards when handling equipment and instructional labels that tell people how to handle equipment that could save you tons of money in the long run. Using a custom label to warn your staff of danger is something that should be purchased for work from home construction companies or electrical engineering start ups.

I was invited by DataGraphicsInc. to peruse their website. Here you can apply to work from home. You can work from home doing things like answering the phones, email, and other administrative tasks. So, I went to check the site out, and here’s what I found (all of this information can be found and is quoted from www.arise.com):

Arise offers year-round opportunities to provide contact services to the best selection of well-known, trusted brands – giving you the freedom you crave and the income results you need.

As an Arise Certified Professional, you choose which clients to serve, when you work and how many hours each week to work.

The entire Admissions/Certification/Contracting process should take only a few days.

You are employed by your own business entity and not arise.

So, I began the application process. During the application process, you must complete a profile with all of your personal information, sign a Master Services Agreement, and then go on to the “Ideal Match Assessment” portion. The fourth step is a background Check. The personality test is 100 questions long! The voice training portion of the application process is awesome with a virtual trainer with a virtual office, and the computer training is top notch.

In Detail:
* System Check - Your system will be checked for proper components, allowing you to complete the assessment and hear the call simulations.
* Q & A - This is a series of questions about your attitude and your approach to tasks.
* Simulated Calls - You will listen to instructions and training on how to handle these simulated calls, plus a practice simulation. Finally you will be asked to handle 3 simulated calls by selecting responses and actions.
* Voice Assessment - You will be presented with a page of instructions on how to call and record your voice. Carhartt crafts some of the highest quality clothing for workers. My dad’s Carhartt coat has lasted forever. He can work on cars in it, paint in it, and lie on the ground for hours if he would like. The jacket never wears. In the South, men sing the praises of Carhartt jackets, pants and gloves as one of the best brands available.

Men’s work apparel makes the perfect Father’s Day gift for the work from home guy on your list, and Father’s Day is just around the corner. Men love to receive things like work gloves, work uniforms, Carhartt clothing, coats, etc. This type of clothing is all about function, safety, etc., and your dad will love it. Thermal underwear, Timberlands, Chippewas, hooded sweatshirts, and military style clothing also make great gifts for dad this Father’s Day.

Rugged menswear is a unique idea that your Work From Home Dad can treasure for years to come. When he reaches in his closet and pulls out his Carhartt overalls, he will lovingly think of you… Why not buy something that he’ll use?
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-37292430408705884422010-04-23T23:39:00.001-07:002010-04-23T23:57:33.766-07:00How to Survive The Work From Home Boredoms
Working from home is often not as nice as it sounds on television. It is often filled with 8 to 10 hours of computer work, phone work, or writing in which no one is around to communicate with. Working from home can be as demanding and boring as any old day job out there, and is often more so with little interaction from the outside world save the computer screen. This is how I overcome the work from home boredom streaks that accompany working from home online:

Naps – 10 to 25 minute naps can be utilized during extreme periods of boredom. Nap as often as you like as long as it keeps you going. Make sure you’re clocked out!

Starbucks – buy the espresso and make coffee with it. Who cares about the money? It’s a great way to increase your exposure and link to your content. If, and I do mean if, you can import your blogs and other items here, you could gain some exposure. I am definitely having some trouble importing all three of my blogs, and I can only seem to get my Facebook account to attach to RedGage’s services. I am sure that it does work because so many others have used it, but I am not sure how! Ha! Don’t be too afraid that your website will fail. RedGage’s doesn’t work 100% either.

Stumblehere.com promises to:

“Gain Exposure With Classified Ad Syndication, SEO, Search Engine Placement!

· Get your website indexed quicker by Google, Yahoo!, Bing and other search engines!

· Utilize our SEO know how to bring traffic to your affiliate offer or website.

· Use your Professional Profile Page, and optionally generate your own product catalog / store.

· Automatically syndicate your listings to partner sites and all known high traffic free classifieds sites on the internet.

· Automatically submit your Ads to Twitter and other Social Sharing sites.

· Use Video Ads to show off your product or service.

· Receive SMS reply alerts to your cell phone.

· Build your own online store based on your classified ads.

· Help Us Grow, optionally Make Money from our Affiliate Program”

So, I am attempting to add all of my blogs….

You can post a maximum number of 5 adds…

I always give sites like this my trash email. They’ll spam you. ZDNET sends me upwards of three emails per day sometimes. Okay, maybe not that much, but close. You can even post video ads for a price. It also costs money to make the ad available nationwide, and this is a site similar to Craigslist. I get through most of it, and I think that my ad is posted, but they want $1.99 for linking to my website. Through some browser backups and coughs I tried to undo the charge. Ha! I searched for it, and it is posted here:
http://stumblehere.com/classifieds/The-Complete-Online-Coupon-EBook-339448

I am learning to market for my new website whenever I get it finished – Which may be never.

Also, a free SEO e-book and videos can be found here:
http://www.seofaststart.com/

He has some pretty interesting classes that you may want to view.
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-84664527980926342262009-12-22T22:17:00.001-08:002009-12-22T22:17:10.516-08:00Online Classes for Home Based Business Opportunity: Filing Taxes

Ever thought that you would like to file taxes from home for other people maybe for extra cash or something. Need to file your own taxes like I do?

Jackson Hewitt offers an inexpensive tax class online. Click here for an online demo! All you need is a computer, a calculator and an Internet connection. You can prepare taxes for others for extra money, and you may also be able to acquire college credit if you attend the University of Phoenix Online. In any case, it is a nice addition to any resume, and is perfect for an online student pursuing degrees in accounting or business. Jackson Hewitt requires these classes of their seasonal tax prepares. If you’re looking for additional, part-time (or full-time if you prefer) / seasonal income to supplement any home based business you may be operating in the post-Christmas shopping season, preparing taxes for others may be a great idea. The season lasts from somewhere around the end of January to about April 15th.

H&R Block also offers a tax class online that you might want to look into. I have always filed taxes with Jackson Hewitt and do not feel qualified to give a personal recommendation for their services or online tax classes.

Technorati Tags: jackson hewitt,online taxes,online tax classes,H&R Block,home based business,make money online
esantrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04397521106387811745noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4947953022215693077.post-11950489820409290382009-12-17T14:53:00.001-08:002009-12-17T14:53:21.337-08:00A Journey Into Entrepreneurship
Technorati Tags: entrepreneurship,work from home,story,free

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. A short summary of the guidelines goes something like this:
If someone sends you a free product or pays you to review a product, you must disclose that relationship. The lines aren’t very clear. For example, you can disclose from your About Me page if you would like. I wonder what kind of effect the new guidelines will have on sites that operate as paid review sites for many different products and companies. What do you think of the new guidelines?

Here is an official review of the FTC Guidelines:

“FTC Publishes Final Guides Governing Endorsements, Testimonials

Changes Affect Testimonial Advertisements, Bloggers, Celebrity Endorsements

The Federal Trade Commission today announced that it has approved final revisions to the guidance it gives to advertisers on how to keep their endorsement and testimonial ads in line with the FTC Act.

The notice incorporates several changes to the FTC’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, which address endorsements by consumers, experts, organizations, and celebrities, as well as the disclosure of important connections between advertisers and endorsers. The Guides were last updated in 1980.

Under the revised Guides, advertisements that feature a consumer and convey his or her experience with a product or service as typical when that is not the case will be required to clearly disclose the results that consumers can generally expect. In contrast to the 1980 version of the Guides – which allowed advertisers to describe unusual results in a testimonial as long as they included a disclaimer such as “results not typical” – the revised Guides no longer contain this safe harbor.

The revised Guides also add new examples to illustrate the long standing principle that “material connections” (sometimes payments or free products) between advertisers and endorsers – connections that consumers would not expect – must be disclosed. These examples address what constitutes an endorsement when the message is conveyed by bloggers or other “word-of-mouth” marketers. The revised Guides specify that while decisions will be reached on a case-by-case basis, the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service. Likewise, if a company refers in an advertisement to the findings of a research organization that conducted research sponsored by the company, the advertisement must disclose the connection between the advertiser and the research organization. And a paid endorsement – like any other advertisement – is deceptive if it makes false or misleading claims.

Celebrity endorsers also are addressed in the revised Guides. While the 1980 Guides did not explicitly state that endorsers as well as advertisers could be liable under the FTC Act for statements they make in an endorsement, the revised Guides reflect Commission case law and clearly state that both advertisers and endorsers may be liable for false or unsubstantiated claims made in an endorsement – or for failure to disclose material connections between the advertiser and endorsers. The revised Guides also make it clear that celebrities have a duty to disclose their relationships with advertisers when making endorsements outside the context of traditional ads, such as on talk shows or in social media.

The Guides are administrative interpretations of the law intended to help advertisers comply with the Federal Trade Commission Act; they are not binding law themselves. In any law enforcement action challenging the allegedly deceptive use of testimonials or endorsements, the Commission would have the burden of proving that the challenged conduct violates the FTC Act.

The Commission vote approving issuance of the Federal Register notice detailing the changes was 4-0.
