Computer Businesses That You Can Operate From Home

There are many work-from-home opportunities out there, but in light of the recent changes to global economy, you may want to create your own. There are many options available for those of you willing to brave the small business world. From simple resume writing services to more complicated software programming businesses, many home-based computer businesses can be forged.

Here are some ideas:

• Become an answering service
• Be someone else’s bookkeeper
• Become an Affilliate, Sales Representative, or just plain telemarketer
• Set up your own spamming service
• eBay reseller
• Amazon reseller
• Create an Avon/Mary Kay/Whatever website that your friends and family can order from.
• Publisher of software, e-books, etc.
• Blogger
• Coupon Newspaper Publishing
• Graphics Artist
• Article Writer
• IT / Business Consultant
• Income Tax Preparer
• A+ Certified Computer Technician and Repair Business
• Internet Marketing Service
• Secretary or Virtual Assistant Home Based Business

For all of these, you will need a computer, printer, internet connection, and some time and effort. Niche markets are often the most profitable, and and internet auctions along with sites like Amazon.com seem to be the most reliable. You must find your own cocktail.

Associated Content is both a good website for starting an online writing business and researching ideas about home based computer businesses. Honest, objective opinions not tailored to rob you of your money can be found here. Just search Associated Content with terms like home-based computer business, work at home, make money online, or make money with my computer. Editors here are required to remove spam like articles, and you won’t encounter too many links to squeeze pages requiring investments which can make Google searches using the same terms tiresome. e-How is also a great, unbiased source for how-to articles on home based businesses and work from home opportunities as well as EZine articles.

Finally, it is best to start out small. Large investment should probably come after experience and testing out your idea. This is especially true of auctions and anything else that requires an investment. Investing in something that is not tangible might not be a smart idea, either. Make sure that there is some kind of guarantee before investing more money than you can afford to lose. Keep in mind that may not be possible or realistic to part with all one’s stock quickly. Items may take time to sell, and often profits are barely enough to cover fees and expenses if you’re not careful. Good Luck!

eJury.com – Make Money Online Posing As a Juror

Some time ago now, I signed up for eJury.com – the online trial experience. This is a site where you sign up to be a juror and make money online by judging a trial before it ever happens. This gives the lawyer in the trial a better idea of what the verdict might be before he goes to trial. It also gives him or her ideas and new perspectives in the case. This is by far one of the most interesting ways to make money online.

The pay is nothing to make a living from. Considering that it took 3-6 months after signing up to be an online juror before I received an actual case in my email inbox. The pay is $5 to $10 per case, and you will be informed of how much each case is before taking it. It takes around 30 minutes to review the case, fill in the form, and give your official opinion. There are absolutely no charges for making money online through eJury.com.

The case I read was very interesting. It was a medical case concerning an operation / procedure that should never have happened. I was very surprised at the results. They only rewarded the lady a mean of 12,500. In my opinion, the award should have been much higher! My estimate was 250,00. That’s what makes it so interesting. You can enter your opinions and have a look at the insides of a trial case.

The typical eJury case works like this:

Step 1: The attorney prepares the Case Submission which consists of facts from the perspectives of each party, the jury questions which would be used at trial, and personal questions designed to obtain additional feedback.

Step 2: eJury converts the attorney's Case Submission into an "html format" and posts it to a secure location on our website where only eJurors in the county of selection can access the case. The eJurors in that county are then notified by e-mail that a new case has been posted.

Step 3: The eJurors return to our website, log in, and begin reviewing the facts and answering the questions, each clicking a "Submit Verdict" button upon completion. Once the minimum number of verdicts have been rendered (usually 50), the case automatically concludes. A case summary is posted later for those interested in seeing the results.

There are some qualifications for being a juror. You must be 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, be of sound mind and good moral character, be able to read and write, and have never been convicted of a felony or under indictment or other legal accusation of misdemeanor theft or any felony charge.

This is a wonderful, no-investment-required way to make a very small amount of money on the side. It’s honest, simple, and does not require much effort. eJuror.com is definitely worth signing up for, just don’t hold your breath.

My Newest Work From Home Journey Experience, Home Business Connection Magazine

In the mail, there was this magazine, Home Business Connection. I don’t think I subscribed, but maybe I can find one legit home business opportunity to try for free. I do not like initial investments. Usually there can be found a way to access the same opportunity for free elsewhere, so I steer clear of upfront business investment type payments. Here are some links that I looked into, some of which cost money.

1) http://www.brokeropp.com/program-details.html – This link advertises cashing in on the bad economy by brokering mortgaged homes. It’s only $195 for the “building wealth together kit”. I am helping to build someone’s wealth if I buy this…

2) http://www.easypath2wealth.com/index.php?ID=15356 – Easy Path to Wealth? I have to pay to sell vacations. NO ONE is going on vacations this year. Are they supposed to use their unemployment or the money cut from their salaries? Not that promising of an opportunity for me. My friends don’t have any money.

3) http://nopennypockets.homestead.com/ – well the website didn’t cost them much. This is a portal to another website, someone’s affiliate marketing idea. Let’s see.. “The Perfect Home Based Business”…What could it be? Robert Kiyosaki from Rich Dad Poor Dad endorses it, and he is one of my heroes. I think it’s selling vitamins? Amazing Sublingual B-12… Hmmm…I can get B12 for like $3. I don’t know if this one is for me.

4) This is a very informative video on turnkey websites so that you will be aware of exactly what I mean:

http://www.freewebsitecenter.com/ – this is a turnkey website! I was really interested in those a few months ago. Your only responsibility is to pay for and advertise the website. These are pretty expensive, although cheaper than I expected. Psychic, Adult, Sports and Dateline 900 numbers are the areas that this company specializes in. These seem like pretty popular topics. I am skeptical. To order by PayPal, you have to call on the phone. I think I should try to reach this business by phone first.

I just don’t see anything that is going to turn my dreams into reality today. Why do I have to be such a pessimistic realist? There are probably great opportunities out there for people that aren’t just sales scams. I am still below my goal of $100/week, but I do work a lot. I do realistically make about half of that and could make more if I had more time, but I am not ready to completely work from home or be my own boss, yet. I am still trying to find a work-at-home rainbow.

This is my idol:
http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/

His name is Pat, and I subscribe to his blog. He has just written an e-Book about LEEDS and housing or something and made like 50,000 from it. He is the one who initially inspired me to write eHow articles, and he got laid off around the same time that I did. I don’t remember how I found this blog, but this guy has sooooooooooo much more work from home / make money online talent than I do. Maybe one day I can be as successful as he is…

7 Work At Home and Make Money Online Things Worth a Second Look

1.www.bloggernoob.com – This is another work at home blog. She made $25,000 in the first year with this blog. Lots of decent advice. I don’t think this blog will make that much. Does anyone know how to increase my Google Page Rank by a landslide?

2.www.ioffer.com - A place to buy sell and trade. Kind of like eBay and accepts Paypal. This site might be worth checking out. It looks populated and barren at the same time.

3.www.bukisa .com – This is one way to increase your Google Page Rank. Publish articles that relate to your blog or website with links to your blog or website in the pages. This helps your increase links to your site. You can also earn lots of money from page views. You are paid an amount per page view. The more content you publish, the more you are paid.

4. eHow – This is one of the easiest ways to make money online. You don’t have to write long articles with correct grammar and punctuation, just tell people the steps you do to get things done. Then, sit back and relax as the money piles in every time some one clicks on ad from one of your articles! This is the easiest residual income ever!

How to Videos & Articles: eHow.com

5. http://freemillionautosurf.com is a wonderful automated surfing tool. Just sign up to be a member, input your website, keep the computer on the freemillionautosurf.com site for around 4 hours, and pouf, a thousand free visitors to your website or blog. Recommend it to others for even more hits! All for free while checking email, etc.

5. Entrecard- This is a great site for bloggers. One might overlook it at first glance because it seems nondescript, but the cute site will generate lots of traffic for your blog. Boost your visitors, grow your audience, network with other bloggers, and market your products and services all in one place. You will need a 125x125 image for the icon though, and a place to put the widget. Approve and reject other blog ads to place on your page for exposure. In order to place your ad on other blogs, you must drop it by pushing their drop button on their widget. Read on.

6. www.affiliateseeking.com – find tons of affiliate companies here to sign up for. With hundreds listed, you are sure to find one that suits you. Affiliate programs include affiliate networks, ad networks, 2 tier programs, pay per sale, contextual ads, pay per lead, residual income, datafeeds, multi tier programs, popups and banner ads, pay per click, ppc search engines, business opportunities, etc.

7. Extora – This is a personal day organizer or todo list. It sits on your desktop, and is super easy to use. Just point and type the thing you have to do and viola! The todo list is there for you reference. Extora has a very modern look that complements Vista tremendously instead of the worn out normal todo list freeware. You can download Extora Pro or the freeware edition. Have fun!

LivePerson - Paid For Your Expertise

You can become a Liveperson Expert and charge by the hour and by the email. They have experts in fields like education and tutoring, health, business, and spirituality. You can even be a shopping and style expert. You must download and install some free software to get started, and when your services are needed, you can be reached by chat or email. You can charge whatever rates you would like to charge and people come to you. I am a programming expert, and I am charging $1.00 an email. This is about what my programming advice is probably worth. I am a programming student, but I was able to place that information on the site, and the people that contact me will be aware of that. I haven't been contacted, yet, but I have only been signed in for about 10 minutes.

You can also sign up for the affiliate program and place ads like the one below to make money. Click Here for the LivePerson Affiliate Wizard!
It looks as if psychics get paid the most. Some are $16.00 an hour or better. Click on the image to view rates. Have fun. This looks like a pretty fun, competitive website. I'll update you if I ever make any money at it.

Xomba - Make Money Bookmarking Sites

Here is a screenshot of the Xomba bookmark( Xomblurb) that I created for my blog:

Steps to Making Money With Xomba

THE FREE ACCOUNTS. You will need to register for a FREE account with XOMBA and Google's Adsense before you can begin making money online with bookmarks. See the Resource Section below this article for direct links to both sites. Again, these are FREE accounts and this is an absolutely FREE way to make money online. If, at any point in the process, you are asked to pay money, you have done something wrong. Return to these steps and see where you have gone astray.

XOMBA AND ADSENSE. Xomba is the site you will post bookmarks and links on. Adsense is an advertising program run by Google, and they will provide the advertisements that will make money online. When you have registered and been approved for your Adsense account, you will be given a unique number. To make money online with your Xomba bookmarks, you must follow the steps provided by XOMBA to link your Adsense account. This MUST be done or you will not make a penny, no matter how many bookmarks you create.

FINDING WORTHY BOOKMARKS. Any website, article, or media online can be turned into a bookmark, or Xomblurb. Xomblurbs are links with brief descriptions of the content they link to. The trick is finding sites to bookmark that will attract ads people will click on. To do this, look for sites that offer practical information or solve problems. People are more motivated to click advertisements when there is work to be done. The more people click your ads, the more you make money online easy.

WRITING YOUR DESCRIPTION. Writing descriptions for your bookmarks is super easy, especially when you do it right. The trick to writing a description that gets people clicking ads, is to focus on keywords rather than great writing. Keywords will dictate which advertisements accompany your Xomblurbs, and will connect interested readers to the information you are providing. You don't need to write an essay about the site you are linking to. A few sentences with a vague description will do. In fact, sometimes saying less means you make more money online.

KEEP BOOKMARKING. You probably won't see much revenue in the beginning. However, the more bookmarks, or Xomblurbs, you post, the more you will watch your online income grow. Posting several new Xomblurbs a day will take only a few minutes once you get the hang of it. Those bookmarks will continue to make money online for as long as you choose to leave them up. When it comes to bookmarks for easy money, quality takes a backseat to quantity. Post bookmarks often and see how easy it is to make money online.

The minimum payout is $100.  This site takes time, real time, but the bookmarks on Xomba have no shortage of google adsense. That is for sure. You can also create a profile and socialize. You can also get paid for Xombytes, lengthy interesting articles. Click here for an example. Have fun!

Money4Banners - Get Paid a Flat Fee to Advertise

Money4Banners is flat fee website advertising, which I find rare. They use a standard 468*60 pixel banner. You are paid $5.00 every month for keeping their ads on your site. You also receive $10 after you join up now ( I suppose this means in December 2008). You must be approved to join. It is absolutely free to join, but I am not sure if they accept blogs or not. I just applied yesterday. The site gives 24 hours response time, and the email I received claimed two business days. I will update the post as soon as I find out if I am accepted or not. I thought I would share.

Money4Banners is absolutely free to join. You can become an affiliate of Money4Banners by applying to become a reseller. You can also resell your own version of Money4Banners by becoming a reseller agent.

CashCrate.com - Won't Show Me the Money

And I quote from another blog:

**The First Steps To Making Free Money Online

Your first step is to sign up to places that will never ask you for any payment or credit card. CashCrate is one of the first places I ever made money at and now I make $200 to $300 per month and I have never paid them a cent to join or participate. They pay me every month and it is money I can rely on. Please read my in-depth Cash Crate Review and see the quick video of one of my checks as proof. You won’t be making $200 at first but this is a good place to start for anyone over 13 years old. This is one of the great ways for teens to make money and start learning.

http://dayjobnuker.com/2008/10/05/best-ways-to-make-money-risk-free/

Wow! This sounds so great! If you guys remember, I posted about this on December 9, 2008. I have been anxiously awaiting my $20.00. A simple $20. I have never received it. Did I do something wrong? It is still pending. Feel free to comment, but I believe this isn't the best option for those of you who would like to make money. Where is my money?  If the transactions have not gone through, then why didn't they tell me that they hadn't gone through? I am so confused, and I hate wasting time. Especially hours and hours. They should at least tell you that you're not getting the money....

Please comment with any REAL reviews that you may have of Cash Crate. I included a screen shot in this post for 12/23/08 to show you that my earnings have not budged. The whole point of this blog is to give you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I am creating a directory, but in the meantime you can do a search for the name of the website, and if I have reviewed it, you can see the results. If I have not reviewed it, and you would like to see an honest review, email me at serviceindustrytechnologies@gmail.com. If you have an honest review of a website that is similar or completely different from mine, please feel free to post it in the comments section. I want as many as possible. Eventually I may start adding them to the blog. If you would like, you can even email me videos, and I will try to post them to the blog. I want this to be a massive, concise resource.

Legitimate Looking Data Entry - Waitlisting Required

This is Key for Cash. It requires a small application, and seems to be the easiest online work at home application that I have ever filled out. Not bad. I wish they were all this easy. Unfortunately, you must wait until someone gets in touch with you. This is not automatic work with automatic pay, but if you did get the job, it would probably pay you more.

I also found this site interesting. It is Axion.com. They have implied that they are on a long waiting list, and that you should call them, not the other way around. They also seem pretty legit. I do not know because I have never been offered employment, but I applied. I am going to be in trouble if all of these sites call at the same time. That is usually how my job searches go.

I found both of these sites on Money Making Mommy.com . Check it out for lots of work at home links and ideas.

Swagbucks - Easy to Earn Gift Cards

Swagbucks is a simple way to earn money shopping online. This is convenient because you can shop at places like Wal-mart, Footlocker, Match.com, and many others. Their webpage features may options for saving money on shipping and 10-15% off of your order, which is also great incentive for shopping through this venue. You are paid a straight-forward 1 Swagbuck for every $5 that you spend. If you need to shop online for anything, you should get paid for it. This is a quick signup, and one of the easiest get paid to shop venues.

Swagbucks.com also features this awesome cell phone recycling plan. I am a recycler!! Don't throw your old phone away! Earn money for recycling it! I know you have three or four lying around, everyone I know does.

Youwie - Paid to Socialize and Advertise Your Blog

Click the screen shot to see the video!

Youwie.com is a paid to socialize site worth visiting for you fellow bloggers. The sign up is absolutely free, and they pay a certain amount per 1000 page views, like Associated Content. The amount is usually not over $1.50, but you can display the rss feed from you blog right on the profile! Awesome! Advertising that you get paid for! Always my favorite. The site is littered with advertisements, but they are easy to sidestep. The site features photo storage, a blog, and a news feed among other things. Youwie also features an extensive video collection of videos donated by members. I am watching one on a governmental conspiracy theory titled "SECRET_RULERS_OF_THE_WORLD_THE_BILDERBERG_GROUP".

There are many similar videos. It's pretty neat. I am so busy with other things, that I don't have much time for this, but I joined, and I will probably view my own page 2-3 times per month. Have fun!

Mahalo - Google A.I. Leave off the A

Mahalo pays you to be Google. $10-$15 per search pages is the going rate for pages that they accept. An application has to be filled out in the Greenhouse section in order to be a part-time agent. You can also make money on Mahalo by answering questions (similar to WikiHow)। If you answer questions very well, the question's asker may "tip" you. Tips online are like working at a senior citizen's buffet, scanty. The sites looks like a fun, unique way to make money online. If you are good at Internet research, this may be a way for you to "get your foot in the door".  Compile relevant, good lists and refer people to those lists. You may land a freelancing job.

Free Course On Blogging - Experiment With Me

I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

• The best blogging techniques.
• How to get traffic to your blog.
• How to turn your blog into money.

I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

Update: I did it! While this is free, you must have to wade through 8 or so lessons on how to improve your personal life and attitude to get to it. Weird. This program is all about one's mental well-being and the water problem. While I sympathize, I thought I was getting a money making tutorial for free. Maybe I missed something. I welcome any comments on Simple-ology.

This is what I mean:

$$$ Money Making Idea - ClickBank and Traffic Exchange

Promote your Clickbank.com merchandise ( often provided with their own websites ) through free traffic exchange. This idea is also a great free idea for:

• GDI - Promote Your Free Promotional Websites and Get a Free Downline
• Zlio.com - Promote Your Online Store
• Associated Content - Promote Your Paid Articles
• MemoLink.com, WidgetBucks, and Zero Price Tags - Promote Banner Referrals
• LinkBee.com - Promote Your Links on Top of Other Promotions
• Squidoo - Promote Your Lenses for Free
• Platinum Lounge - Gather Referral Points

All this for free, and have fun surfing other money making sites! There are plenty to traffic exchange sites out there! With EasyHits4u you can actually get paid to surf and paid for traffic exchange at the same time! This means that while you are getting free hits for surfing, you are actually making some pocket change as well! Who could ask for more?

Resource-a-day - $10 for Signup, Oneday

Resource-a-day pays you to read an ezine, advertiser funded, of course. You simply sign-up, they email you the magazine, you read it and refer others to get paid $. There are some rules and regulations of course, but this is a very simple, easy way to make money. The magazine also includes awesome articles on how to make more money with your website. I recommend trying this simply because the articles are so interesting and could help your online business or blog profit.

The minimum payout is a steep $100, and you do not receive it for two months prior to making it, but you get paid 5 levels for referrals, which is almost unheard of with a free site! I have not received any money, yet from this site, and I suppose it will take months, maybe a year, but you can't lose any money here without signing up for some sponsored advertisement, and the tips could make you millions!

More Money from Associated Content!

Here is more payment proof from Associated Content! They really seem the way to go for quick, honest payouts! You can't help but love them. If  you have ever searched the Internet, you know they're a very reliable, dependable source as well! This was an article reviewing the medication I was taking from my, a patient's perspective. Click here to view the article. When I started this medication, I googled everything to find something like this. Please, do the same. If ever I could think of anything that was more useful.
